What does the First verse in the Bible hold? First we have, In the beginning (Time) God created The Heavens (Space) and the Earth (Matter). You must first have Time, to place Space, in order for matter to occupy it. In this, we see three dimensions, but there is actually four, once God is added (Spirit). We separated ourselves from that fourth dimension, to walk in these other three. God offers the fourth one back to us, but it came with a price.
Another way to look at this verse, and the following four, 1-5. We see, In the beginning, God created the Heavens (His dwelling place) and the Earth (Man, the earthen vessel) and the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the Waters (Waters – Scripture – Word) (I will send The Holy Ghost, and He shall reveal all things concerning Me) And God said: “Let there be Light (Jesus said I am the light ) (and the Spirit reveals the Light to us) and there was light. And God saw the Light (Christ in us) that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. (come out from among them) And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day (of the first creation, and the new creation).
Next, we look at just the First word in the Bible, Barasheit. In this, we must first understand, Hebrew also has four dimensions to it. There is the language which we read, there is a number assigned to each letter, making it a mathematical language, There is a pictographic language in which each letter has it’s own meaning, And a Spiritual realm to it all. I mainly want to look at the pictographic side now.
Pictographically, A – Aleph means “Strong Leader’ B – Bet Means House. When these two letters are put together, they spell AB or Father, The strong leader of the house. Applying this To “Barasheit” We find the following: Bet and Resh form the word Bar, or “Son of” next is Aleph (The strong leader, the Head, or GOD). Next is Shin, (which means to destroy or consume). Then we have Hey, ( which can mean by ones effort, it can also mean grace) And last, we have Tauv, (This is the sign of the cross). When put together, we find the following, “The Son of God will be destroyed by His own effort on a cross.” (No man takes my life, I lay it down of myself) When was this decided? “In the beginning!”
Revelation says, “Behold the Lamb of God slain from the foundations of the earth (In the beginning). Scripture also says, That God declares the End From The Beginning. That He is the Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the end. Believe it or not, there is even more hidden in the first verse of Scripture. I’ll take a look at this next time.
